Edna Rodriguez Calzado, GIT

AS A GEOSCIENTIST...

I am passionate about rock research, but I am also concerned about climate change and the future of our planet. Thus, I decided to pursue a career in Carbon Capture and Storage (CCS), a climate change mitigation technique where Carbon Dioxide is stored deep within the Earth's crust. To learn more about me, including my master thesis work, please refer to my About and Research  pages.

I was a Graduate Research Assistant and a Masters student working with Dr. Susan Hovorka at the Gulf Coast Carbon Center at UT Austin.

I am now working as a Geospatial Analyst with the State of Texas Advanced Resource Recovery (STARR) group at the Bureau of Economic Geology.
